Young leaders are becoming more and more important in scouting. They are becoming the new generation of leaders.

Any one aged 14-18 can be a young leader with a beaver colony, cub pack or scout troop.

In order to be a young leader, you need to be registered as an explorer and attend One Modules Mandatory Training.

Young Leaders work in addition to fully qualified Adult leaders and are still able to be explorers, and stay with their own group if they wish.

YOUNG LEADER TRAINING
The first Young Leader training was held in February 2008 and was attended by 21 Young Leaders from all over Greater Manchester North. This was a very successful weekend, enjoyed by all.
